Friday 19th

In this lesson, our teacher showed us a variety of music videos to the class. They were to to show us how different videos use different convntions to make their piece stand out from the rest.

Humour:
Queen's video for "I Want to Break Free" contained humour, making it a big hit.

Story Telling:
Coldplay made a video to a song called "The Scientist" that told a story that caught alot of attention.

Special Effects:
Peter Gabriel's video "Sledgehammer" is a brillient example of special effects!

Here are a couple of videos that I found that used different conventions that may be very important to our piece.

Bright Costumes:
Hotchip use BRILLIENT costumes in "Ready for the Floor". It's very memorable.

Instuments:
Avril Lavigne uses instruments in most, if not ALL, of her videos. Here she is with "When You're Gone"
