Promo Video Task

Task

-A music 'Promo' video up to 5 minutes long.
- Either working on your own or in a group of up to 4 members.

Also need to produce:

-A website homepage for the band.
-A cover for its release on CD.
-A magazine advertisement for the CD.

And:

-A critical evaluation.
-A blog, including research and planning.

What are the conventions of the genre?

-Story telling
-Unrealistic mise en scene/special effects
-Lip synching to the music
-Dancing
-Playing instruments/michrophones
-Bright costumes/certain appearances
-Background dancers/singers


You will be given a selection of tracks from which you have to select one.
You will then have to bid to make the video for that track.
This will involve considering text, audience and institution.
